Vishnu is seated in dhyanasana on the coils of the seven-headed cobra Shesha, the seven-headed hood forming a nimbus behind his head. Vishnu holds a lotus flower and conch in his primary hands, the two lower hands rest on the heads on his personified weapons: Chakrapurusha, his war discus, and Gadadevi, the female personification of his battle mace. Ganesha, a tortoise (Kurma) and a fish (Matsya) are also represented on the molded base. He wears courtly garments, including a striped dhoti inlaid with alternating bands of silver and copper, long central sash, meditation cord, beaded and foliate jewelry, and a crown with three circular medallions and cinched side sashes. His face has silver-inlaid eyes and copper-inlaid lips.
