Since 2018, galleries specializing in Asian art, major auction houses, and cultural institutions have joined forces for Printemps Asiatique Paris. Designed on the model of Asia Week New York and Asian Art in London, this event is organized around a common calendar of exhibitions, auctions, tours, and conferences. It allows art lovers and collectors to discover some of the major works available in galleries, auction rooms, and museums. Its ambition is to affirm the importance of Asian art in France, particularly in its capital.
For the third consecutive year, the Parisian rendez-vous dedicated to Asian art will expand beyond the borders of France. Specialised French gallerists and antiques dealers will welcome their international counterparts for a collective exhibition at the Pagoda, former home of the notorious Chinese dealer and collector Ching Tsai Loo (1880-1957), better known as C. T. Loo. The emblematic building, with its red-ochre façade and Chinese-inspired architectural elements, nestled in the heart of the Haussmannian district of the Plaine Monceau, resonates to Asian art lovers throughout the world.
